Oceana Funds is delighted to announce the appointment of experienced banking and finance specialist Gary Segal to the role of General Counsel.
Mr Segal is a specialist in corporate finance and brings more than 17 years of industry experience to the role. He has extensive in house and private practice experience in the financial services industry including most recently as Head of Wholesale Legal at HSBC Australia as well as local and international experience at a number of top tier and international law firm with a focus on banking and finance and M&A.
In particular, Mr Segal has specific experience in cross border (syndicated, club and bilateral) acquisition and corporate facilities, distressed debt transactions as well as corporate and real estate acquisition financing. He also has extensive M&A and structuring/company secretarial experience including setting up structures for investment syndicates.
Mr Segal will be primarily responsible for overseeing, managing and developing the legal function at Oceana Funds.
